Eastman Guitar Serial Numbers6/15/2023 Plugged it is better to have the belly touching the helps to control the feedback. It is a feedback monster.but manageable.most of the time. I usually play sitiing with the guitar angled so it doesn't touch my belly, It is louder with more bass that way. It is interesting to see how the resonnant back is contributing to the bass. ![]() My guitar is acoustically very loud with a lot of sustain, the only problem with it is the fragile finish but the guitar is a keeper. I got rid of the PU and I ordered a thin neck-mounted humbucker from more pick-guard!! The new PU will arrive next week. Couples of years later, I asked a local luthier to remove a portion of the woody pick-guard in order to give me more room for finger style on the high strings.Bad idea.the pick-guard start vibrating, the single coil pu became somehow unstable and, depending on humidity I guess, was sometime touching and vibrating on the top. The results of our quest patiently await below. The single coil was OK with bronze strings, especially that I was using it acoustically most of the time. We have taken the liberty of sifting through today’s market in a bold attempt to find the best Eastman guitar out there. I had 12th Fret to Install the pickguard and the floating pick-up. ![]() ![]() ![]() In 2006 I asked the 12th Fret in Toronto Canada to get, as a special order, a non-cut AR810 and I bought from ARCHTOP.COM a Kent Armstrong floating single coil with fully adjustable poles, suitable for bronze strings. I am the happy owner of this Eastman AR810 acoustic, non-cut guitar and I think that a thread devoted to these guitars would make sense.
